Colyne and Thorfinna have always been interested in heraldry. Upon entering the Society, both joined the Ealdormere College of Heralds. Colyne is currently a pursuivant-at-large, while Thorfinna is the Pursuivant for the Canton of Ardchreag.

 

 At the beginning of September 2002 (AS 37), Colyne received word that his name and device had successfully been registered with the College of Heralds. His device is gules and argent counter-changed, a fox rampant. Colyne's motto is Vulpes cum lupo stat, which translates as 'the fox stands with the wolf.'

On January 15, 2004 (AS 38), Thorfinna got word her name and device had finally been accepted (after 2 1/2 years of deliberation). The letter said: 

    Ŝorfinna gráfeldr. Name and device. Argent, three serpents nowed gules.
    Listed on the LoI as Ŝorfinna gra'feldr, the documentation shows the
    byname as gráfeldr, not gra'feldr. We have made this correction.

    Nice device!
