I trust that no one has strained their back returning generators and dehydrated food to the army surplus store. Our biggest problem over the holidays were rambunctious fondue pots and dancing wine glasses.
There's nothing like watching carpet freeze to the driveway before you can get it all out of the basement. Thank gosh for salt! A little wind and a lack of insulation and, boom, a basement is toast.
It was an uneventful holiday. We had just enough happen to remind us of what business we were in. The best part of the holiday was logging into the NORAD web site and watching my kids reaction as they saw Santa head across the Atlantic and an official voice tell them it was time to head off to bed. Perfect!
