musings:

Words That Came to me Watching Short Films about Peterborough

by Miriam Stucky

Fragments: forgiving. encouraging, magical. focus, mesmerizing, spotty, evocative, text(ual), felt. glitchy, dark. reading scratches, laughing, disbelieving, striking and washed out. How old was that film maker? struck. silent.

Blip: full face. Good. Clean. Fun.

Auto-Portrait: digital darkness. soothing. steady. elemental. amazingly not blinding to us (technically impressive, this feat, non?). crinkly.

The Story of Narrative: tells me stories. hard angel. text(ual) perfect font but I don’t want to read. linger on. Scripted! searching for familiar faces. She’s a pro. Is that ...? full smile. twirl. who’s watching this, the future? this moment is watching us right now. brilliant camera follows actor. digetic operator’s voice.

Silent Vision: “nature”. impression-istic, digital unreal.
