SEARCH TO FIND MINISTRIES

BOOKS READ

“Wisdom is supreme; therefore, get wisdom.
Though it cost all you have, get understanding.”
Proverbs 4:7

“Search To Find Ministries” has provided this section, Books Read, in ”My Journal For Life’s Journey” to keep track of the Christian books that you read. The goal of “Search To Find Ministries” is for women to read, to learn, to put to use and to pass this knowledge on to others. Two scriptures that give us these thoughts are Proverbs 4:7 “Wisdom is supreme; therefore, get wisdom. Though it costs all you have, get understanding” and 1 Thessalonians 5:11. “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as in fact you are doing.” One of the best ways to do this is to read books written by Godly men and women. It is our belief that every church should have a well stocked, and a well-used library. We would encourage you to start your own personal library. Buy good Christian books and put them in your library. Then you can encourage others by lending out your books or recommending good authors.

JOURNAL APPLICATION:

One way that we would suggest to remember important parts in a book is to have some small sticky notes handy. When you read something that strikes you as important, place a sticky note over it and when you have finished reading a chapter or the book, go back over the chapter or book and write down the part that was covered by the sticky note.

There are three keys to think of as you read:

1. What is this book about?
2. What do I think God wants to teach me from this book?
3. How can I put this information to use and pass it on to others?
