CONSIDER YOUR LIFE AS A BUTTERFLY'S

Consider your life as a butterfly's
It surely does apply,
The two lives are so similar
Just listen, I'll tell you why.

We start as helpless fledglings
So vulnerable to all,
But as our life evolves itself
We slowly begin to crawl.

As caterpillars we move along
Accepting what's in our way,
If something's there, we go around
We live from day to day.

But weary we become with life
Our pace just slows right down,
We close our eyes, and fall asleep
In a cosy womb we're bound.

But after we have stayed awhile
Our bodies feel so strange,
For in the silent larvae stage
Transformation came!

It's time we know to start upon
A new and different journey,
We emerge no longer bound
But joyfully we're free.

Slowly as our splendour unfurls
And strangeness fades away,
We find the freeing gift of wings
To help us soar into the day.

Created by His hand above
We owe but one small duty,
That after leaving our cocoon
We fly with grace and beauty!
