All
riders with previous experience qualify for this level. On your first
day we'll ask you a few questions to find out what you've done, what
you've forgotten, and what you'd like to accomplish.
At this level
we see a wide range of skill and ability. Some parts of the program
will involve group instruction (demonstrations and talks), and some
will be one-on-one so that we can be sure each rider's needs are met.
At this
stage the Program includes:
- Review of riding Basics:
mounting, riding position, balance
- Progression to more advanced
riding
- Options: (each rider can
choose which of these they are comfortable with) jumping, dressage,
mounted games, trail riding, polo.
- Horse care: each rider is
assigned a horse and is responsible for looking after it. (grooming,
feeding, bathing)
- Stable management
- Grooming: advanced techniques
- Hoof care
Advanced riders at this level
are invited to go on a trail ride to the river. Our instructors focus
on safety, learning and fun for all.
