2004 Ontario Winter Games Local Shooters Win Medals |

Peterborough Fish & Game Association junior shooters attended the 2004 Ontario Winter Games in London, Ontario this weekend. Fifteen air rifle and air pistol shooters ranging from 13 years old to 18 years old represented the Eastern Region and provided substitutes in several other regions. Representing Air Rifle Eastern Region were Ryan Callaghan, Jessica Jacobs and Jason McKellar from Norwood, Melissa Morris of Cobourg, Jake and Hilary Scoffield of Lakeport. Coach Al McKellar and manager Shirley McKellar. Representing Air Pistol Eastern Region were Shvawn Christensen of Peterborough, Randi Jacobs of Norwood, Zac and James McCue of Curve Lake. Coach Glenn Baswick and manager Rose Perris. Also from PF&GA were James Astley of Norwood on Northwest Pistol, Andy Astley of Norwood on Northeast Pistol, Emily Scoffield of Lakeport on Northeast Rifle, Cody Carslake of Peterborough on Northwest Rifle and Tim Smye of Colborne on Central Rifle. Individual medal winning performances were Jason McKellar 560/600 for Gold, Air Rifle Junior Male, Shvawn Christensen, 499/600 for Silver, Air Pistol Sub-Junior Female, Zac McCue, 521/600 for Bronze, Air Pistol Junior Male. Team results were Bronze Medals for both Eastern Air Rifle and Air Pistol. Tim Smye received Silver for Central Team second place finish.
