Hero Quest

Genre: RPG/Surreal Fantasy in the manner of Dunsday, Leiber, and Pratchett
Players: 1 - 6

Eric Weissengrber Sat 8pm - midnight Rain of Fish

The world of Glorantha is rich in magic and the Lunar occupation of the barbarian kingdoms of Dragon Pass has unleashed some bizarre forces. But both moon-worshiping Imperials and storm-worshiping Rebels have never seen anything quite as strange as the rain of fish inundating the lands of the Far-Point tribal region. The protagonists of this scenario will have to venture into the dangerous realm of the gods and the even more dangerous realm of politics in order to deal with the rain of fish. A hero will need intelligence, a sense of humor and a sharp sword to make it through this scenario with body, soul, and mind intact. Heroquest is the game of mythic heroism in Greg Stafford's Glorantha, and is the successor to HeroWars and Runequest.

All Flesh
Must Be Eaten
Roger Landry Sun 3-7pm

All Flesh Must Be Eaten is a horror RPG in which the world has suddenly turned upside down and the Dead are rising from their graves, and they’re hungry.  This game allows the player to explore the scenario of “What would you do?”  Would you stay and fight when your late Aunt Agnes shows up at your front door and tries to find out how many bites it takes to get to the centre of your brain, or would you run away, tripping up the elderly and school kids just to ensure that there’s always someone else behind you?

Who knows, maybe you’d be the person who looks for the reason why the dead won’t stay dead or perhaps a cure. The question is…Will you find it before it’s too late?

Silver Age Sentinels Chris Challice Sat 8pm-midnight There is trouble in the North Sky Islands. The pirate ‘Demon’ Will Rackham has been plaguing the free citizens of North Sky with fire and death for the past six months. The island dwellers are simple fishermen and villagers by nature and do not have the means to hunt this threat down. They have turned to the Tyrant Lord Winston who rules Alloway for help. This help has not been given, the Tyrant League sees no reason to get involved. North Sky looks at this dimly, and some even whisper that Rackham is under the command of Lord Winston. All of North Sky broods upon this, Alloway has always been a peaceful ally, but if this has changed then the time may have come to decide who rules the islands once and for all.

Silently the Grey Order watches all this. They will send their Knights and hope that it is not too late to avert war.

Sun 3-7

Hunter (OCC-ARPL-004):  Designed for Average Party Level (APL) 2

Old City Campaign:  The Old City Campaign represents a living, growing campaign in which your characters find themselves immersed in a magic-rich fantasy world.  The centre of the campaign is the city of Ylde Haven.  Built upon ancient ruins, the origins of which are subject to much speculation and investigation, the city of Ylde Haven is a coastal, sprawling metropolis of 80,000 souls.  Being ideally located for controlling trade by sea and holding its independence from any overlord, Ylde Haven is a centre of academia mundane and magical and is able to protect its citizens - and business interests - through the Tunwaerd and its standing militia, the Havenmiht.

Players in the Old City Campaign may create their own characters based upon the rules found at http://www.yldehaven.org which make only slight addition to the Core Rules of Dungeons & Dragons v.3.5.  Characters created in this way will be eligible to earn experience and advance in levels as they proceed through the adventures of the Old City Campaign.  Unique or particularly expensive items and less tangible rewards will be tracked by certificate to be kept with the character for future Old City Campaign events.  Players who do not wish to create a character for the Campaign are welcome to use one of the pregenerated characters which accompany each adventure, but these characters are not eligible to receive certificates or experience points.

Old City Campaign is a sanctioned member of the Adventure Role Playing League (http://www.arpl.org).  Membership in ARPL is not required for Old City Campaign characters of fifth level or less.
Warhammer Fantasy  Jeff's Cards & Comics Sat 10am-2pm The legions are yours to command.

The Who's Who

Eric Weissengrber

Eric plays a fast and loose game, that is similar to Phantasm's 2003 storyteller of the year winner Chris Challice. This past year while I traveled to the various RPG con's across Ontario he was the best story tell I had the privilege to play with. He tells a story that is rich with story and character.

Top of page

Dave Roberts

Robbie runs a game that is enjoyable for players of any age. Which isn’t an easy thing to do. But Robbie with his 20 plus years of storytelling experience makes it look easy.

Top of page

John Mark

The one consistent remark that I constantly hear from great players & storyteller alike about John Mark is that he reminds them of a younger version of themselves. With that endorsement we will eagerly await the stories that will come from this flowering mind.

Steve Esdale

When Steve is involved in a RPG he looks like a kid on Christmas morning. His enthusiasm for RPG’s fuelled by his credit cards has given him the largest role playing games collection I have ever seen. Steve uses this wealth of information to ad depth & style into any game he runs.

Top of page

Steve O'Grady

I’ve played with Steve for more years than I can remember. He is a talented role-player that embodies the cooperative aspect of role-playing. He works as a sort of mediator to guide the story forward. It is this passive style that is his strength when running a game.

Top of page

Shawn O'Brien

Shawn knows more about the backgrounds and history of the AD&D settings than anyone I know. Within five minutes this guy have you drawn into any setting & have you sitting on the edge of your seat. His enthusiasm is truly contagious.

 Top of page

Chris Challice

Chall is by far the most imaginative and energetic storyteller that I have ever known. Chris has an excellent understanding of what makes a hero & brings that idea into his games.

Top of page

Dave, a.k.a. Mac

Mac’s name is synonymous with role-playing in Peterborough. He runs the “Old World Role-playing Club” out of PVCS, and is involved in running “Vortex Con” in the summer. I am constantly amazed at the creativity and imagination Mac uses to breath new life into old AD&D modules.

Top of page

Adam Caverly

Adam has an inexhaustible wealth of creativity and a genuine love of all role-playing games. Using his twenty years of storytelling experience, Adam weaves in enticing tale.

Top of page

Virtual Carl

Carl puts a level of depth into his stories that is a rare treat. He runs his games with a level of skill and sophistication that is difficult to match.

Top of page

Derek Weatherdon

Derek tells his stories with a cinematic flare that few possess. He weaves his tales so that all can enjoy and contribute to the progression of a story.

Top of page

Bryan McKellar

Bryan just runs really fun games that have a great sense of humor. Like the Scobby-Doo D&D. I’m sure that this year will be no different.

Top of page

Brendan Stephens

Ok so I’ve never played with this guy before, but you should see the super cool 3-page e-mail he sent me describing his game. With all of the descriptions being told in character. I think if I could only play one game at Phantasm I’d have to go for his.

Top of page

Craig Merchant

Craig has been involved in the Peterborough role-playing scene for as long as I can remember. His experience has always been a welcome contribution to the local role plating convention. He runs a fun game anchored in style of AD&D.

Top of page

Roger Landry

Roger has been playing with me for years and years, and although I’ve never had him as a storyteller, his enthusiasm for this new game system and the time and energy he has put into his game speak well for its potential.

Top of page

Kristin Moore

Kristen is simply amazing. I have seen this woman work with some of the most difficult groups and just role with the player’s creativity to generate an incredible game. I think that this is the rare skill allows her to shine as a storyteller.
