Welcome to the The Canton of Petrea Thule, in the Barony of Septentria, in the Kingdom of Ealdormere. Petrea Thule is the Peterborough, Ontario branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism. The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an international non-profit educational organization dedicated to researching and re-creating pre-17th-century European history.

In these pages you will find information about the SCA, Life in the Current Middle Ages, and about what we do.  Medieval combat, archery, clothing, dancing, feasting, and so much more awaits you!

Upcoming Events!

•The Canton enjoyed a very successful time with both Pikeman's Pleasure XX and the Peterborough Recreation Expo! If you came out and talked with us at the Expo... thanks! We hope you had as much fun as we did. For more information and to find out what we're up to, sign up on the Canton Message & Discussion Board.

• Our meeting schedule has changed! Our official Canton nights are the 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month September through May. They are held at the Traill College campus in downtown Peterborough in Wallis Hall in Room 102 *OR* 128 (based on how much room we need and what we are doing). Signs will be posted. The meetings run from 7:30pm through 9:30pm and are casual and informal. Memberships not needed, just come out and spend some time with us!

• Archery practice will be on most Sundays on the outdoor ranges at the Peterborough Fish & Game Association. We will be there from 1:00pm to approximately 6:00pm with lots of practice time and shooting on the indoor 20-yard range if it rains. Armoured combat and fencing practices will be held following the archery tournaments as well, marshals permitting. Check our Calendar for more details.
