Welcome to the The Canton of Petrea Thule, in the Barony of Septentria, in the Kingdom of Ealdormere. Petrea Thule is the Peterborough, Ontario branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism. The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an international non-profit educational organization dedicated to researching and re-creating pre-17th-century European history.

In these pages you will find information about the SCA, Life in the Current Middle Ages, and about what we do.  Medieval combat, archery, clothing, dancing, feasting, and so much more awaits you!

Upcoming Events!

• Our weekly meetings have resumed! They are held at the Traill College campus in downtown Peterborough in Wallis Hall in Room 102. The meetings run from 7:30pm through 9:30pm and are casual and informal. Memberships not needed, just come out and spend some time with us!

• The meetings are back in session! Come on out and join in the discussions, the fun and good times!

• We are proud to have many details for the annual Late Winter Shoot planned! This annual archery tournament is held just outside of Peterborough on February 27 from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. There will also be a combined armoured combat and fencing practice at the same site on Sunday February 28.

• Archery practice will be on most Sundays at the indoor ranges at the Peterborough Fish & Game Association. We will be there from 1:00pm to approximately 6:00pm with lots of practice time and shooting on the heated indoor 20-yard range. Winter Shoot tournaments will be held with scores being kept and submitted... but it's not about winning, it's about having fun! Really! Armoured combat and fencing practices will be held following the archery tournaments as well, marshals permitting.
