| Where? | The practice is held at the Peterborough Fish and Game Club located at 608 Division Road just east of Peterborough.
|
| When? | Our practice sessions are held most Sundays year-round starting at approximately 1:00PM and lasting until approximately 6:00PM. We use the Club by their good graces and thus we will always defer to the needs of the Club members and any scheduled tournaments. Please check the Canton Calendar for the specifics each week. |
| Costs? | There is a $1.00 entry fee for our practice sessions. This helps us defray the costs of the targets we use along with money to the Club. This fee applies to any person attending the practice session regardless if it is for archery, heavy combat or fencing. Any member of the SCA holding a Blue Waiver Card is not required to sign the Waiver at the gate. Any member with a White Card or any non-members of the SCA are required to sign the waiver. No exceptions. |
| Archery | The archery starts at 1:00PM and we practice until 2:00PM. After this time, we will start a tournament appropriate to the weather and shooting location. During the winter months, and rainy days over the spring/summer/autumn, will will shoot in the heated in-door 20-yard range. During the summer, we will use the outdoor 50-yard range or the 100-yard multi-purpose range. Limited supplies of loaner bows and arrows are available. Please notify the Seneschal if you are planning to visit and are not bringing your own equipment.
|
| Heavy Combat | The heavy combat practice, led by Baron Tiberius of Warwickshire, begins after the archery tournaments conclude when we are shooting indoors. During the summer months, they will often go at the same time as we have additional space to use. We do not have a supply of loaner armour at this time so if you plan to come, please ensure you bring your own equipment. |
| Fencing | The fencing practice, led by Lord William of Otterton, also begins after the archery tournament is completed each week. Please contact Lord William in advance so that we will be aware of other fencers attending. Otherwise, the fencing gear does not always make the trip to the practise. We have a limited supply of loaner fencing equipment at this time so if you plan to come, please contact Lord William in advance so that the loaner gear comes along too, otherwise bring your own equipment if you have it. |
