Host Patrick Watson opened every show with the question above. Mr. Watson would interview a different historical figure for each 1/2 hour episode. How these dead celebrities were reincarnated was through the performances of such actors as Chris Wiggins (who played Galileo) and Al Waxman. Other historical roles explored were Napolean, Confusius, and Nefertiti among others
This 70's series aired originally on CBC. However, it is now intermittenly run on CityTV.
The Canadian version of the History Channel revived this series with the title Witness to Yesterday. Patrick Watson returned as host. Gordon Tootoosis guest starred once as Genghis Khan. It also airs intermittenly.
